CIW Pro-Turner Program featuring Nick Cook Friday & Saturday, March 19 & 20 A founding member of the AAW, board member of the John C. Campbell Folk School and turning consultant to Powermatic, Nick has the experience to interact with turners at all levels. Nick has led the Youth turning activities at the AAW Symposium for many years. He is known for his 'projects' and his weekend with the CIW will focus on these small projects. Each project would be suitable for the beginner but even the best of us will pick up techniques to improve speed and quality. Click here to read a list of topics to be covered during the demo. Please bring a sack lunch. Donation of cookies or other things discouraged by my health care team for break times would be welcomed. As always bring your comfy folding chair. Friday, 9:00 - 5:00, 'Spindle Turning ' Each day will be different but amongst the many projects that Nick will demonstrate a bowl or plate will be featured each day. This will be an all 'demo' program but please bring tools or projects that you may have challenges with to discuss with Nick.
