July meeting

The July meeting will be at the Woodworker's Shop in Bloomington July 10. Dick Coers will demo the Sorby texturing tool.

Treasury report

Paul Cobb reports the club has $1300 in the treasury.

Turning at Keith Adams'

Ten woodturners enjoyed Keith Adams' turning demonstrations Saturday, June 10. We thank Keith for opening up his shop and demonstrating for our members.

Pekin Marigold Festival

Dave Carroll will look into the possibility of the club turning during the Marigold Festival in Pekin and report at the next meeting.

The President's challenge for July is to turn an egg.

Jerry Rhodes - candle holders from willow, spalted mulberry and spalted honey locust.
Dave Bloom - sassafras bowls accented with aniline dyes, bowl of eggs and chuck for turning eggs.
Ron Bell - eggs and nested bowls from maple burl with natural edge.
Paul Cobb - segmented platter and vessel.
Art Witte - bowls from spalted hackberry and butternut.
Jim Meizelis - bowl from mahogany and several whistles.

June Demo

Ron Bell gave a demonstration of the McNaughton and the Oneway bowl savers, explaining the pros and cons of each tool and answering questions members had.
