Meetings:

Meetings are held at 6:30 PM on the second Monday of each month, but check the calendar for scheduled changes. The location alternates between two area woodworking stores who graciously provide us with facilities and tools to use at the meetings.

Most meetings include a short discussion of any business items, such as planning future events, followed by show-and-tell of works recently made by members, and then in-depth discussion and demonstration on one or more aspects of woodturning.

In odd-numbered months we meet at Millworks in Bloomington, IL. [Directions]   (bring a chair with you.)
In even-numbered months we meet at Woodcraft in Peoria, IL. [Directions]

Chapter History:

In May 1998, a group of woodturners in our region formed a chapter of the American Association of Woodturners. Several of the original members are still active participants, but new members join each year. CIW currently has over 50 members. We have novice and highly accomplished turners, professional craftspeople and instructors, of many ages.
